Living in the Highlands neighborhood, I get to
enjoy walking the Tennyson Street First Friday Art Walk. My wife and dog
go door to door enjoying the food and atmosphere in all of the businesses.
About 3-4 yeas ago we walked into an art gallery that was owned by Namaste
Hospice. Our dog, Maximus, was a huge hit and the owner asked me if we
would consider volunteering Maximus as a therapy dog to which we immediately
said yes. In the next year and a half, he brought immense joy to everyone
at the hospice we worked. Everyone, not just his patients, looked forward
to his visits and I could see how he woke everyone up during his visits.
I wanted to contribute more and a position on the board of the Namaste Comfort
Fund came available. The President of the Board invited me to join with
the notion that the position is 100% voluntary, nobody is paid and I
immediately saw the great value this organization offers. I bring my
technology and financial background to The Comfort Fund with a mission of
enhancing our ability to more effectively assist people in their time of need. Volunteer Experience: Namaste Comfort FundDirector, current Namaste Hospice VolunteerTherapy dog
